The One Northeast Foundation, and the R&D Cell, Unity College jointly organised a panel discussion on Sixth Schedule, TIPRA Accord and Negotiating the Future of Northeast on 30th August, 2025 at IMC Hall. Dr. Tabassum Khan, Assistant Professor of Commerce Chaired the program and Dr. Phikuto Chishi, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science was the Moderator of the Panel 1 with Daniel Langthasa and Patricia Mukhim as the panelists. In Panel 2, Mmhonlumo Kikon had a candid conversation with Maharaj Pradyot Manikya on stage, where they talked about various issues pertaining to the Indigenous rights and deprivations in NE. Boto Chishi, an Alumi and the Music club, Unity College presented vibrant performances.
Apart from the staff and students of Unity College, wellwishers from various walks of life also attended the event. Notably among them were media representatives from Nagaland News Network, East mojo, Hornbill TV, Free lance journalist, and dignitaries like Mr. C. Apok Jamir, a former member of legislator of NLA.
