The Student Counselling Center on 10th of October 2025 observed ‘World Mental Health Day’ under the theme, ‘Access to service- Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies,’ with Dr. Bokishe Vihoi Sema, Christian Counsellor and Senior Pastor, Nitozhu Baptist Church as the resource person.
Dr. Bokishe talked on the importance of mental health, how to respond in critical situations and also how to keep a calm mind during emergencies to be able to help onself and others during catastrophes. He also emphasized on the importance of having a healthy mental health to be able to function as a healthy individual and also be someone to help people during emergencies. Healthy mind and sound mind helps an individual to think better, act and respond even during emergencies.
The program was chaired by Ma’am Khumbeno Murry, Assistant Professor from the Department of History, a special number was presented by Thermching of BA 3rd Semester (Political Science) and vote of thanks was delivered by Vilynuo, Counsellor Unity College.
