Unity College Alumni Association was officially formed in the year 2013, with Mr. Moayanger as the first President of the Association. The Association functions with the aim to promote and encourage close relations between the college and its alumni and also, to create interest and motivate the alumni to participate in the progress of the Institute and make them contribute towards the enhancement of their Alma mater.
REPORT ON MOTIVATIONAL TALK
The Unity College Alumni Committee organized a motivational talk on 14th February 2025, featuring Mr. Wangphao Konyak, an alumnus currently pursuing his LLB in Delhi after successfully clearing the CUET examination.
Three students from the 6th semester of each department, who aspire to pursue higher studies, participated in the session. Mr. Konyak shared his preparation strategies and motivated the students to consider appearing for the CUET exams. The session proved to be both engaging and highly beneficial for the participant
REPORT ON ALUMNI MEET 18th JANUARY 2025
Unity College Alumni Association organised its First Alumni Meet on January 18th, 2025, with the aim of reconnecting former students with the institution and strengthening the alumni network. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from alumni across various batches and departments.
The program commenced with an introductory session where alumni were welcomed by the host, Mr Aton, President, Unity College Alumni Association. Each alumnus briefly introduced themselves, sharing their batch, department, and current professional roles. The session set a warm and interactive tone, helping old friends reconnect and reminiscing the good old college days.
Dr Lichumo Enie, Principal, Unity College and faculty members from various departments were invited to the meet. Their presence was greatly valued and the meaningful interaction helped strengthen the bond between the past and present members of the institution.
A dedicated discussion was held to deliberate on ways to enhance the functioning of the Alumni Association. Some of the key points discussed were –
* Encouraging alumni contributions through guest lectures, internships, and mentorship programs.
* Setting up a dedicated fund to support institutional development and the Association itself.
* Using digital platforms to keep alumni updated and engaged.
The suggestions were noted by the Alumni Association Committee for future implementation.
The First Alumni Meet held on January 18th, 2025, was a successful and memorable event. It not only rekindled old ties but also laid the groundwork for a more active and collaborative Alumni Association. The participation of faculty and the constructive discussions ensured that the meet was both nostalgic and purposeful.
On 15th September 2025, the Alumni Association of Unity College donated seven benches to the institution. To mark the occasion, a brief handing-over ceremony was organized in the presence of the Principal, the Alumni Faculty In-Charge, office bearers of the Alumni Association, and alumni from the postgraduate section. The Principal expressed appreciation to the Alumni Association for their support and contribution to the college.
