The Library continuously strives to enhance its collections, infrastructure, and technology to meet the evolving academic and research needs of the College community. By integrating traditional library resources with modern information and communication technologies, the Library plays a vital role in promoting academic excellence and fostering a culture of reading, inquiry, innovation, and lifelong learning.
About the Library
The Unity College Library houses a well-organized and continually expanding collection of learning resources covering all disciplines offered by the College. The collection is systematically arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system, enabling users to locate materials quickly and efficiently.
The Library is fully automated using KOHA, an Integrated Library Management System (ILMS), hosted on a cloud-based server. The Library has also implemented Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to enhance circulation services, improve collection security, and provide a seamless user experience.
The Library serves as a welcoming space where users can read, study, explore information resources, and engage in independent learning.

Special Collection
The North East Collection is one of the distinctive features of the Library. It contains books and publications on the history, culture, languages, literature, politics, economy, geography, tribal studies, and socio-economic development of the North Eastern region of India. This collection supports regional studies and encourages research on North East India.
Digital Resources
The Unity College Library provides access to digital learning resources to support teaching, learning, research, and academic development.
National Digital Library of India (NDLI)
The Library promotes the use of the National Digital Library of India (NDLI), a national digital repository developed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NDLI provides access to millions of learning resources for students, teachers, researchers, and other users.

Membership
Membership is open to all registered students, faculty members, and staff of Unity College.
Borrowing Privileges
Members are expected to observe the Library rules and return borrowed materials on or before the due date.
Library Timings
Monday – Friday
8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
The Library remains closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and notified public holidays unless otherwise announced.
