Parents-Teachers Meet 2025

The Parents-Teachers Association, Unity College organised its annual Parents-Teachers Meet on 1st November 2025. The meeting was positively attended by 82 parents and guardians, Chairman of Unity College, former Chairman, Principal, Administrator, Vice Principal, and faculty.

The purpose of this meeting was to foster a strong collaboration between parents, teachers and the management of the College and to promote a holistic learning environment. Through open communication, parents were given the space and scope to better understand their wards progress. The meeting also facilitated platform for feedback exchange.

During the interactive session which was moderated by Mrs. L. Changsan (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Political Science), the parents and guardians expressed their profound gratitude and appreciated the college for the noticeable progress of their wards. They also shared their valuable suggestions to promote the college’s growth. The key highlights of the interaction centred on the overall academic performance, attendance, discipline, skill development, career guidance, and best practices of the college.

The program was chaired by Mr. Ripon Handique, (Asst. Prof., Dept. of English) and invocation by Pastor Uttam Kumar. Dr. Lichumo Enie, Principal, delivered the welcome speech wherein he highlighted on the various facilities provided by the college. Mr N. M. Ovung, former Chairman, shared about the college’s journey since its inception. Emphasising the role of education and its changing nature in the society, Mr. M. Patton, Chairman spoke on how the college’s vision aligns with it.

The program highlights included overview of FYUGP by Dr. Temjenwabang, Vice Principal. Speeches on behalf of the parents and teachers by Mr. K. Khetovi Sumi and Mrs. Thungbeni Humtsoe (Asst. Prof., Dept. of History) respectively and a special number by the parents. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Khumbeno Murry (Asst. Prof., Dept. of History) and benediction by Dr. Phikuto Chishi (Asst. Prof., Dept. of Political Science).

The program was further followed by a special one on one session between the teachers and parents.
