The Intellectual Property Rights Cell, Unity College, Dimapur in collaboration with the International Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Institution’s Innovation Cell (IIC), organized a One Day Workshop on the topic “Protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Startups” on 17th April, 2025 at 2.30 PM at Unity College, Dimapur. Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, Assistant Professor of Management, Nagaland University and Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Nagaland University was the resource person of the workshop. Dr. Bordoloi interacted with 108 students (UG and PG) and 6 faculty members on various aspects of protection of IPRs in startups, the nature and different types of protection such as patents, copyrights and trademarks, and also on the national and global initiatives regarding IPRs. Additionally, Dr. Bordoloi highlighted the role of EDC, Nagaland University in developing entrepreneurship in Nagaland and encouraged our students to generate ideas for startups and apply for training and incubation at EDC, Nagaland University. The One Day Workshop was chaired by Ms. Viraseno Mejura of Dept. of Economics, with a welcome address by Dr. Prakash Khundrakpam and a vote of thanks by Dr. Phikuto Chishi.
