Speech Competition

IQAC Unity College and Dept. of Commerce Unity College in collaboration with Central GST Commissionerate Dimapur jointly organised a Speech Competition on GST Day, the 1st of July 2024. The speech competition was held to commemorate the completion of 7 years of implementation of India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST). 

The topic for the speech competition was “Progressive Tax System or Flat Tax Rate System? Exploring ways to ensure Fair Taxation”. Sultana Begum, BCom 5th Sem, Siddharth Jha, BCom 3rd Sem and Menangnula Longchari, BCom 5th Sem bagged the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. 

The speech competition was held successfully in the presence of Shri RH Meena, IRS, Commissioner of Central GST Dimapur, who also gave a concluding remark on the topic, and Shri Sashi Wapang Lanu, IRS, Additional Commissioner Central GST.
