Unity College Dimapur observed it’s 9th Edition of Annual Cultural Day under the theme ‘Cultural Resonance’ on 14th February, 2026. Addressing the audience Dr. Lichumo Enie, Principal, Unity College spoke on unity, strength and intrinsic identity emphasising that Cultural Heritage forms the foundations of who we are as individuals and as community.
This year’s edition featured a vibrant array of performances including demonstrations of traditional fire-making, war cry and the art of winnowing. The event offered students meaningful insights into Naga identity through an engaging skit. It also showcased an exploration of Sangtam, Konyak and Punjabi folk dances along with Lotha folklore and folksongs of Tenyimia, Ao and Arunachal tribe.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Lumvila Sangtam, Cultural Secretary, Unity College Students Council (UCSC).
