19.4.25_NSS_Exposure and Conservation Initiative

On April 19, 2025, the NSS and NCC Units of Unity College, in collaboration with the Liphanyan Village Council, organized an Exposure and Conservation Initiative at the Liphanyan Governor’s Camp site under the theme “Echoes of the Wild: Let Nature Speak.” The programme aimed to enhance students’ learning through practical engagement while imparting knowledge and skills related to environmental conservation and preservation.

As part of the initiative, a sanitation drive was conducted along the riverside area where participants cleared waste, segregated biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials, and ensured proper disposal. Signposts displaying eco-friendly slogans such as “Revealing Nature’s Beauty is pointless if we don’t protect it” and “Awareness sparks action, conservation ensures survival” were also installed to promote environmental responsibility.

The activity provided students with valuable hands-on experience and reinforced the importance of collective efforts in protecting the natural environment.
