The Department of Computer Science organized an awareness program on Artificial Intelligence on the topic “Ethical consideration in AI”. The program was conducted on 6th December, 2025.
The resource person, Dr. Nagaraju Baydeti, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, NIT Nagaland, in his opening statement, said that AI is like a mirror. Just as the mirror reflects what is in front of it, AI also processes based on the data it receives. Hence, biased data will lead to bias in AI. He further emphasised the privacy and safety of data and transparency in AI which is the practice of making the design, data, and decision-making processes of an artificial intelligence system clear and understandable to users, developers, and stakeholders.The programme was chaired by Preeti Kumari of BCA 4th Semester, welcome speech by Dyulo Jishing of BCA 2nd semester and concluded with vote of thanks by Binay Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer Science. A total of 46 students and faculty attended the program.
