The Parents Teachers Association organized its annual Parents Teachers meet on November 02, 2024 at 11 am in the Seminar Hall. The meeting was attended by 55 parents/guardians along with the college authority and teaching faculty. The chairperson of the event was Mrs. L.Changsan (Asst Prof, Dept of Political Science). The program commenced with an invocation by Ms. N. Lochumi Lotha (Asst Prof, Dept of Commerce), followed by a welcome address by the Principal Dr. Lichumo Enie.

On behalf of the parents a speech was delivered by Mrs. Mhonyani Ovung. Dr. Tabassum Khan (Asst Prof, Dept of Commerce) also shared her thoughts with the parents on teachers’ observation and expectations. The Dean of Students, Mr. Shitio Shitiri, enlightened the parents on various subjects that revolved around students’ holistic development. Additionally, speeches from the college librarian and proprietor of Aspen hostel were also witnessed. The students’ counsellor Ms.Vilynuo Rupre-o also raised awareness among the parents on students’ mental health. This was followed by an interactive session where opinions, feedbacks and criticisms from the parents were welcomed. While some parents expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the college and the well organized system of functioning, others shared their constructive suggestions. The college authorities accepted these feedbacks with a positive approach and responded to certain concerns which needed clarification. The new committee members of Parents Teachers Association were voluntary elected from amongst the parents present namely Mrs.Ilika, Mrs. Monyani Ovung, Mrs. Khetoni, Mr. David and Mr. Motsuthung. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Tongpang Walling (Asst Prof, Dept of English).
