Organized Workshop for Faculty and Staff On the Theme: “Healthy body and healthy mind: Holistic approach to wellness”

Theme: Fad Diet and Balanced Diet

Resource person: Ms. Nzanti Ngullie, Dietician and Nutritionist, Dimapur.

The resource person started her presentation by giving an introduction on “What is Fad Diet” and

went on to explain the common signs of a fad diet. She emphasized that every individual has

different body types and hence a diet that works for one individual may not work for another.

She also discussed about some popular fad diets and their negative consequences. In line of this,

the resource person discussed about balanced diet and its importance. She urged everyone to

follow a balanced diet routine during different stages of life and elaborated on the five pillars of

nutrition. The resource person ended her presentation by giving an explicit illustration on high

calorie food and their alternatives.

The presentation of the resource person was followed by an interactive session.


Second Session || 11:30 AM

The second session of the one-day workshop for faculty and staff at Unity College was

conducted on the theme “Emotional Wellbeing in the Workplace.” This significant session was

chaired by Mrs. Joyce Enyie, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Unity College. The

purpose of the session was to highlight the importance of emotional health and how it influences

personal and professional wellbeing.

The session’s Resource Person, Ms. Nchumbeni Y. Jungio, a Clinical Psychologist from

We-Grow Counselling Centre, Dimapur, delivered a comprehensive and insightful talk focusing

on various aspects of emotional wellbeing essential in a professional setting. She began by

introducing the concept of the Health Triangle, which emphasizes the interconnectedness of

Physical, Mental and Social health. She highlighted that maintaining a balance among these three

components is crucial for overall wellbeing.
