On 28th February 2026, the Department of Sociology organized a Community Outreach Program to Eliezer Home of Hope. A total of 37 students from the 6th Semester, along with 3 faculty members, were part of the program. The program was made student-driven to build communication, leadership, and organizational skills. By engaging directly with orphaned children, students gained practical exposure to social realities, developed empathy, and applied sociological concepts outside the classroom. The initiative strengthened their sense of community responsibility and broadened their awareness of challenges faced by vulnerable groups.
The activity included a short formal session in which the students presented a song and shared words of encouragement. This was followed by informal session such as playing games with the children and distributing gifts, which created an interactive and engaging environment.
