The Political Science Department of The Unity College, Dimapur, in collaboration with Epicentre Coaching Institute, Dimapur, organized the Inter-College (Dimapur District) Quiz Competition 2024 on October 3 at 11:30 AM in Seminar Hall-1.
Chairperson Christina Nlang (5th sem) begins the event by welcoming all attendees and participants to the quiz competition. It was followed by Mr.Yashimongba (3rd sem)for invocation.
Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Lichumo Enie, to participants, faculty, and guests where he underscores the significance of academic engagement through events like quizzes.
Sangmachela and Y. Yentsao Kikon, both senior students (5th sem) from Political Science, make a special appearance through a special song.
Time was given to HOD to introduce the guest of honor, Mr.Imotemjen (DySP & proprietor of Epicentre Coaching Center Dimapur. He was later felicilated by the Principal.
Mr.Imotemjen offers motivating words through his experience and learning in the field of competitive exams. He spoke on the relevance of continuous learning and how such events prepare students for real-world challenges.
Time was given for the introduction of various colleges. A total of seven college i.e,MGM College, Yemhi Memorial College , Dimapur Government college , Unity College and Salesian College .participated in the inter college quiz competition.
Mrs. Lhingneihoi Changsan, Assistant Professor from the Department of Political Science, takes over as the Trivia Host. She highlighted the rules and creates a lively, engaging atmosphere as the competition begins.
The competition ended with Team 2, ie, MGM College as the winner followed by Dimapur Government College in the second place.
The winning Team was awarded with a cash prize of 2 thousand and the second team with 1 thousand by the Guest of Honor, Mr. Imotemjen. All the participants were awarded participation certificates by the department.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Tolo V Khulu. He expresses gratitude to all who contributed to making the event a success—organizers, participants, and guests.
