The NCC Senior Wing at Unity College was established in 2011, with the objectives of offering opportunities to the students for personality development, character building and developing soft skills and to motivate them to join in Armed Forces. It also aims to discipline the cadets for a good formation of good citizens and future leaders.
Initially, NCC at Unity College was functioning under the administrative control of 1 Nagaland Girls BN NCC Kohima, enrolling only girls. After converting to 1 Nagaland BN NCC on October 17, 2024, the college now offers enrollment to boys as well. This change has sparked great enthusiasm among male-students to join NCC.
Over the years, it has consistently trained and nurtured young cadets, fostering a spirit of discipline and leadership. These cadets have actively participated in various State and National-level camps, showcasing their skills and dedications.
The NCC Unit at Unity College is led by an ANO and consists of Senior Wing (SW) cadets for girls and Senior Division (SD) cadets for boys.
It comprises of ANO and cadets. The authorized strength of NCC in the college is 54 and enrollment is held in the 1st semester.
