Activity: Inter College Symposium for UG Students under FYUGP

An Inter College Symposium for English Major UG students was held today between Unity
College and Dimapur Government College.
The purpose behind this was to give students an opportunity to exercise their cognitive and
critical thinking skills and also help in understanding their course better.
The first session witnessed paper presentations on the following topics:
- “The Relevance of Nonsensical Literature: Exploring the Significance of Absurdity in
Literature” by Sungitjungla (B.A. 5th Semester) & Masemsangla (B.A. 5th Semester) of Dimapur
Government College. - “American Literature: An Overview” by Esi I Namgi & Lungsizeule Thou of BA 5th Semester,
Unity College.
This was followed by Group Discussion in the second session, moderated by Mr. Lunghilang
Pamai, Assistant Professor Department of English. The group discussion covered various topics
from within the syllabus where both students and faculty engaged in a lively discussion.
