About the Department:
The Department of Hindi was established in 2007, coinciding with the inception of the college. Since its establishment, the college has been offering courses in Modern Indian Language (Hindi), recognizing the importance of Hindi as a national language.
In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020, the department has expanded its offerings to include three additional papers in Hindi, catering to the evolving needs of students.
Hindi, being the national language of India, holds significant importance not only in the State of Nagaland but also across the rest of India. The department aims to promote the importance of Hindi as a national language and emphasizes the plethora of job opportunities available to Hindi language enthusiasts, both locally and nationally.
Unity College is recognized by the Government of Nagaland vide notification No. HTE/5-3/2002 dated 11th Dec. 2007 and is permanently affiliated to Nagaland University vide notification No. NU-CDC/C-52-2007-2801 dated 12th Sept. 2012.
