The Department of English organized an awareness program at El Shaddai Academy, Dimapur, to mark the celebration of International Mother Language Day on 21st February, 2026. The program was held in collaboration with the Heritage Club of El Shaddai Academy.The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of preserving and promoting indigenous languages as vital carriers of identity, culture and heritage. The program was conducted with active involvement of BA 6th Semester English major students, who delivered engaging presentations on linguistic diversity, cultural preservation, and the role of youth in safeguarding mother tongues.
