The Department of Economics in collaboration with Child Welfare Committee, Dimapur observed World Day Against Child Labour with the theme “Let’s act on our Commitment, End Child Labour!” on 12 June, 2024. The day was observed with the intention of creating awareness about the hazardous effects of child labour. The resource person was Mrs. Moamenla Yaden, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee Dimapur. She emphasised the importance of addressing the root causes and understanding how social justice and child work are connected to eradicate child labour.

Signature campaign was also initiated to mark the day.
