The Department of Political Science visited Maova Village under Medziphema on 8 March 2025 with 9 faculty members and 134 students. The programme was chaired by Epihroni 6th semester, S. Amongla Walling who shared the objectives and the purpose of the students’ educational field trip. The chairman of the village shared that the council comprising 9 members was headed by GB who held his position hereditary basis whereas the council members are elected for a period of 5 years. The interactive sessions between the Council Members and the students was an insightful one covering issues on woman participation, current projects, recent developmental projects, funds and so on. The council also stated about two 2 woman representatives in the council, funds monitored strictly and digitalised, a sericulture project, and upcoming guest house work to be completed. The Department had a very good session with the council members.
